Google is disabling one of the most useful and popular features of older versions of the Chrome browser: the built-in web page translation feature. If you're using Chrome 95 or later, you'll soon start getting an error message when you try to translate pages. "This page cannot be translated."

However, the exact date of deactivation of this feature is not yet known.

As the resource Android Police reports, the Google Translate function, which detects the language used on a web page and allows you to automatically translate all the text into the user's main language, is very popular around the world.

However, to have access to it, you need to update your browser to Chrome 96, which was released in December 2021. In this version, according to the developers, there are many improvements, including more secure authentication of payments on the Internet and the ability to save groups of tabs.

But the problem is that the update to the latest version of the browser may not be available for devices running on older operating systems. For example, the latest version of Chrome is Chrome 95 for Android 5.0 Lollipop, and Chrome 93 for iOS 13. As for the desktop versions of the browser, it is Chrome 87 for macOS Yosemite 10.10 and even Chrome 49 for Windows XP and Vista.
