Windows 10 will no longer receive feature updates։ OS support will end in 2025

Microsoft will continue to support Windows 10 until October 2025, but there will be no more feature updates or new features for this operating system։ users will only receive monthly security updates, Microsoft said on its website.

It is also reported that the releases of operating systems through the Long Term Servicing Channel (LTSC) will be updated according to their life cycles.

Windows 10’s life cycle will officially end on October 18, 2025: after this date, the operating system will also no longer receive security updates. And the company has stopped selling licenses since February of this year.

Notably, the latest feature update to the 22H2 final version didn't really add anything new to the operating system; it only fixed some bugs.

But the Windows 11 2022 Update, previously codenamed Windows 11 2H22, included new features, many of which most users don't use regularly anyway.

Windows 10 remains the most popular operating system in the world for now, but Microsoft seems intent on getting most users to switch to the new operating system. And those who cannot switch to Windows 11, for example, due to too weak or outdated hardware system, will face gradual deterioration of computer functionality, technical and security related problems.

Let's remind that from January 10, 2023, Microsoft also stopped supporting the Windows 8.1 operating system.
