Wildberries to launch its brands of smartphones, TVs, home appliances

March 21, 2023  14:04

Wildberries will start selling smartphones, TVs, and refrigerators under its own brand, Russian Vedomosti reports, citing a company representative. The representative noted that these products will be in the "average price segment."

Another source told the periodical that the company's home appliances and electronic equipment will be manufactured under the Razz and Ruzz brands. Wildberries submitted the relevant documents for the registration of these trademarks at the end of December last year, which is confirmed by Rospatent materials.

In the first phase, Wildberries will start selling about 100 brands of home appliances and electronic equipment—including refrigerators, washing machines, vacuum cleaners, blenders, mixers, TVs, and some other appliances. This information was also confirmed by the representative of Wildberries.

In the coming months, the Wildberries’ respective range will also include tablets, laptops, smartphones, and some other wearable gadgets under its own brand.

Wildberries believes that the interest in its brand equipment will fill the supply shortage in the market and create an increase in demand in this segment. Hardware and electronics sales on Wildberries' website grew 97% last year. Sales of home appliances grew by 108%, while sales of laptops and computers increased by 132%.

Wildberries is the largest Russian online retail platform, founded in 2004. Apart from Russia, it has services in 15 other countries: Armenia, Belarus, France, Germany, Israel, Italy, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Poland, Slovakia, Spain, Turkey, US, and Uzbekistan. The company has more than 48,000 employees.

Wildberries sells 37,000 brands of clothing, shoes, cosmetics, household products, baby products, electronic equipment, books, jewelry, food, and more.

And last December, Wildberries started direct sales of products from Armenia to other countries.
