Microsoft 365 for government: Armenia launches large-scale digital transformation pilot

Armenia is rolling out a pilot program to implement Microsoft 365 licenses across government institutions. Minister Mkhitar Ayrapetyan stated that the project is being carried out with the support of partners from the Armenian Agency of Information Systems.

Currently, a tender for virtual servers has been announced. By the end of the first half of 2026, a full deployment of Microsoft 365, including the complete licensed package, is expected within the Ministry of High-Tech Industry. This pilot will serve as a model for future implementation in other government bodies.

The program will enable full use of Microsoft Exchange corporate email, Microsoft Teams, and other Microsoft 365 tools, enhancing internal communication efficiency and digital document workflow across government agencies.
