Xiaomi Mijia Washing Machine Pro: a 12 kg washing machine with superelectrolysis and smart dosing

Xiaomi has unveiled the new flagship washer-dryer Mijia Washing Machine Pro, designed for large families and bulky laundry. The model combines high load capacity, an innovative chemical-free cleaning technology, and full integration with the HyperOS ecosystem.

Main specifications

The machine supports up to 12 kg for washing and 9 kg for drying. This is enough for full bedding sets, winter jackets, or large blankets.
The inverter motor provides spin speeds of up to 1200 rpm and a washing efficiency coefficient of 1.3, which is above average and means more effective stain removal in fewer cycles.

Superelectrolysis technology at the core

The key feature is Xiaomi’s proprietary superelectrolysis system. The device generates active oxygen by electrolyzing ordinary water. This allows it to:

• remove more than 20 types of difficult stains such as oil, blood, and sauces;
• whiten fabrics;
• prevent color fading, with a claimed fourfold improvement in color protection;
• perform double sterilization using high-temperature steam and cold electrolyzed water.

Xiaomi states that the system eliminates up to 99.999 percent of bacteria and viruses and 100 percent of dust mites, without using chemical bleaches or fabric softeners.

Smart dosing and wide program selection

The washer includes a dual intelligent dosing system for detergent and fabric softener, with milliliter-level precision and enough capacity for about one month of use. This reduces waste and prevents both overuse and underuse of detergents.

There are 31 washing and care programs, including modes for wool, down jackets, steam refresh, light dry cleaning, and a 12-minute quick wash. Drying is performed at 55 to 65 degrees Celsius with enhanced airflow.

Full ecosystem integration

Mijia Washing Machine Pro runs on HyperOS Connect. Through the Mi Home app or Xiaomi smart speakers, users can:

• start and stop washing remotely;
• schedule cycles;
• receive notifications when a program is finished;
• update the firmware over the air.

Price and availability

Sales in China begin on January 16 at a starting price of 3528 yuan, which is about 505 US dollars. A global version has not yet been announced, and there is no information on international availability.
