Hackers crack Windows, Microsoft Office licensing system

Hacking group Massgrave has reported that it has cracked Microsoft's licensing system, which enables to activate practically all versions of Windows and Microsoft Office, including corporate licenses with Extended Security Updates (ESU), reports Ghacks.

According to Massgrave specialists, their method does not require installation of third-party software, modification of system files, or intervention in the operating system. They have successfully tested the activation equipment for Microsoft Office, Windows Vista, Windows 7, 8, 8.1, 10, 11, Windows Server, and Windows Server 2025 with ESU and Microsoft Customer Specific Volume License Keys (CSVLK).

In addition, the hackers posted screenshots of ESU-activated versions of Windows.

Massgrave plans to release an open access Windows operating system activation tool in the coming months. Experts believe that this tool will help users extend the operation of Windows 10 after the end of support, which is scheduled for October 14, 2025.

Microsoft advises users to upgrade to Windows 11, or continue using the older version of this operating system on a paid basis—offering an additional year of support for $30.
