When will the powerful PlayStation 5 Pro console be released and what is known about it?

A reputable insider billbil-kun has published new information about the upcoming PlayStation 5 Pro console on the Dealabs portal, revealing its design and expected release date.

According to the insider, the PlayStation 5 Pro will retain the general style of the PS5 Slim, but with some differences. The front panel of the console will feature two USB-C ports and a power button. The key difference will be the presence of three black stripes running down the middle of the side panels. The console will also be slightly thicker compared to the PS5 Slim.

The image published by the insider shows a version of the console without a disc drive. This may indicate the possibility of releasing the PS5 Pro only in a Digital Edition version, which does not support physical media. However, as in the case of the PS5 Slim, it will probably be possible to purchase an external disc drive separately. Initially, the console will be devoid of a disc drive, which reduces its cost. The controller included with the PS5 Pro will remain unchanged and will be the familiar white DualSense controller that has been used since the original PlayStation 5.
