Apple plans to release new AirPods Pro with improved noise cancellation

Apple is planning to release new AirPods Pro (3rd generation) with improved active noise cancellation. This is reported by 9to5Mac, citing well-known insider and Bloomberg correspondent Mark Gurman.

According to Gurman, the main improvements in the new AirPods Pro will concern software and audio processing, rather than design. Updates to the “digital ANC” feature are expected to allow the headphones to block out outside sounds more effectively.

In addition, Apple plans to implement noise cancellation in one of the versions of AirPods 4, which will be announced at a special “It's glowtime” event on September 9. Other new products and accessories, such as the Apple Watch, will also be presented at this event. 9to5Mac believes that even small improvements could help boost AirPods Pro 3 sales.

The publication also expressed hope that the software improvements from the AirPods Pro 3 could trickle down to the AirPods Max.
