We plan to create up to 100 groups of three-four people each in Armenia to implement agrodrones for the purpose of fertilizing crops and digitalizing agriculture, Mihran Sahakyan, the co-founder and technical director of SkyAgro Armenia, said in an interview with a NEWS.am Tech.
He explained that each of them will be provided with a car, a drone, a computer. According to him, each group will have the obligation to digitize 1,000 hectares of agricultural land.
"Based on the results of this program, we plan to fully digitize the agricultural lands used in Armenia today within 5 years. This will help us find out what was grown by specific farms in a specific area to plan further work on the land," Sahakyan noted.
He explained that this is an important component within the framework of the land enlargement program.
"We invite children from the Armath laboratories to the Agrarian University to take a short 5-day course on today's agriculture in Armenia. Upon admission to the university, from the first day of training, a bus will take them in groups to villages where they practice organic agriculture. After 5 years, they will be able to integrate into the work of the team," emphasized the technical director of the company SkyAgro Armenia.
Saakyan noted that the company intends to annually attract 30-50 children from the Armatհ laboratories to the project.
