The TON Society, in collaboration with HumanCode, a company specializing in AI solutions, is integrating biometric authentication for Telegram users. This was announced in the TON blog.

The primary goal of this partnership is to create and implement an innovative biometric verification system. It will allow Telegram users to confirm their identity by scanning their palm prints. The technology is expected to be implemented within the next five years. This initiative is being developed not only for convenient identification but also to combat bots.

It is noted that this technology will play a key role in operations requiring a high level of authenticity and confidentiality, such as cryptocurrency Airdrops and transaction analysis.

Additionally, TON Society has launched a reward program worth 1 million Toncoin (approximately 631.9 million rubles), aimed at stimulating the adoption of a new digital identification standard.

The blockchain project The Open Network (TON) was created by the Durov brothers in 2018. However, two years later, the project was closed due to legal disputes with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). In 2021, TON was transferred to an independent community of developers.
