Top ten IT companies in the list of 1000 large taxpayers: What changes have taken place?

The State Revenue Committee of Armenia published the list of 1000 large taxpayers in 2023, which includes a number of IT companies as in 2022. Below we present the top ten of these companies.

In 2023, Veeam Armenia took first place among IT companies with taxes of 7,165,807,000 drams and took the 36th place in the overall list, while in 2022 this company occupied the 106th place in the list: 2,636,640,000 AMD with taxes. In the 2022 list of IT companies, Veeam Armenia  was in third place and actually improved its position by two points and became the first.

Synopsis Armenia, which ranked first in the list of IT companies in 2022 (60th in the overall list of 1000 largest taxpayers), this year ranked 58th in the overall list and second among IT companies, 5,270,593,000 AMD with taxes paid.

Epam Systems (EPAM) is in third place with taxes of 4,759,328,000 drams and occupies the 65th position of the general list. In 2022, Epam Systems was 78th in the general list of taxpayers with 3,642,418,000 drams in taxes, and 3rd in the ranking of IT companies. The company paid about 110 million drams less tax last year.

Picsart (83rd place in the general list) is in the fourth place with the most taxes paid among the IT companies, which paid AMD 3,729,260,000 in taxes last year. In 2022, this company was in second place among IT companies (66th in the overall list) with 4,077,923 drams in taxes. The company paid about 300 million less in taxes in 2023.

The fifth place in the list is occupied by Data Art, which paid 2,872,616,000 drams in taxes in 2023 and was ranked 114th in the overall list. The taxes of this company decreased by about 100 million drams compared to 2022: 2,903,213,000 drams. The position of the company in the list of large taxpayers has also changed. In 2023, it was ranked 95th and in the 2022 list of IT companies, Data Art was ranked fourth.

In 2023, Service Titan was ranked 116th in the list of 1000 large taxpayers with taxes of 2,840,598,000 drams. In 2023, this company improved its position in the list of general taxpayers and paid about 900 million more taxes compared to 1,983,784,000 drams paid in 2022. In the list of IT companies, the positions of this company remained the same: it occupies the 6th place.

Next, in seventh place is VMware Eastern Europe (Vmware, 155th in the overall list), with 2,016,393,000 drams in taxes. In 2023, this company paid about 400 million drams more in taxes, and also improved its position in the list of general taxpayers (162nd). It was 8th in the 2022 list of IT companies, that is, it improved its position by one place.

In the 8th position of the top company is Devsoft (177th in the list of total taxpayers), which paid 1,754,125,000 drams last year, that is, about 300 million drams less than in 2022 (1,466,960,000 drams). In the 2022 list of IT companies, this company was ranked 7th, that is, it lost one position.

Energy Global Services (EGS, 202nd in the overall list) is next on the list, in ninth place, with taxes of 1,568,395,000 drams. The company paid about 400 million drams less tax in 2023 compared to 2022. In 2022, it was ranked 136th in the list of 1,000 large taxpayers, and 7th in the ranking of IT companies, i.e. it lost two positions.

The top ten is rounded off by Quantori (205th in the overall list), which paid 1,539,782,000 drams in taxes in 2023. Compared to 2022, the company paid about 10 million drams less in taxes. In the list of IT companies of 2022, Quantori was ranked ninth in 2022, that is, in 2023, it lost its position by one point.
